Our life together has just begun. You’re apart of me, my little one.

Back at the start of the year, on a beautiful summers evening I met Laura and Chad at one of my favourite spots here in the Illawarra for their maternity session. Let’s just say it is one of my favourite maternity sessions. We walked, explored, laughed and danced and celebrated the pending arrival of their first precious baby. I am so humbled and honoured to be able to capture such a special moment in this chapter of their story.

The 'E' Family - Sydney Family Photographer

A couple of months ago I was contacted by this awesome mum and dad to capture some family moments for them and tell part of their story. Funny thing was, without them even knowing, they both contacted me on the same night.

We met up at Stanwell Park beach in the Illawarra where there are these EPIC sandstone cliff faces which create such an amazing backdrop of colour and texture. It was requested that I focus on family images as they never get many together, and the parents together to help celebrate a milestone birthday, along with some other photos mixed in to help tell their story, but keep them candid and natural. I loved that they trusted me to do what I do and created a space for them to have moments of fun, connections and be themselves.

Even though it was a warm Autumn day, the rain threatened all day but it held off right till the end of our session and created the most beautiful defused light. We had so much fun playing, exploring and getting to know each other.

Wilder - Southern Highlands Newborn Photographer

I am always humbled and so honoured to be asked into a family’s home to document their story, even more so when I am welcomed back when their newest family member has arrived safe and sound. Bringing home a new baby is such an intimate and special time. Everyone is getting use to the new family dynamic and totally falling in love with a special little baby.

You have probably seen this awesome family on my social media and website before. I was blessed to do an in-home newborn session for the cheeky little man on mums lap their below. Can I just say this newborn session was AMAZING!!!!! This family is amazing! The connection, love, fun, compassion and pride they have for one another is just out of this world. They are just in-sync and it shows in the images.

We had such a fun time cuddling, singing, playing, exploring, dancing and being creative, it was soul filling. Their home feels like a home, not just a house and they asked me to capture them, their story and what their life if at this time.

This is why I loving photographing the way I do, it is about all those little moments that happen that we don’t appreciate until later on and they are vital in telling the story. It is so important to get images that tell your story, one day, they might be all you have and you won’t care what you looked like, how much weight you had put on or how your home looked. You will care about the people in them, the connection, the love, joy and feeling of absolute pride that rushes through your body.

Carlie and her tribe - Wollongong Maternity Session

Carlie and her gorgeous family I first met when our little ones where babies through the Illawarra South Coast Multiple Birth Association and we instantly hit if off.

Carlie and her family are one of the most, humble, kind, fun, crazy, living life to the fullest families I have ever met and being in their presence brings a calm and peaceful feeling over you. When Carlie told me she was expecting another little babe, I was BEYOND excited for them, as I know just how much this precious little one means to them.

Carlie booked her maternity and newborn in and we had the most amazing evening, laughing, dancing and discussing what they thought their baby would be like. Thank you guys for allowing me document this special chapter in your life story.

The "F" Family - Wollongong Family Photographer

It has taken me a while to blog this session (hands up who else is really slack with blogging) but, this gorgeous family was the winner of a competition I ran in the second half of the last year. At some points we both thought this session was never going to happen, after been rained out about 5 times. Mother nature made up for it though when we finally got to the session as the weather was PERFECT and the sunset was spectacular. We had the best evening running around the beach playing and capture moments of fun and joy. I really loved getting to know them all and capturing some special images for them that are priceless.

Mickey was heading overseas to live and work for 6 months and was going to miss her boy Dudley fiercely. So we headed out one afternoon here in Wollongong and captured the love they have for each other in some stunning afternoon light.
