The 'E' Family - Sydney Family Photographer

A couple of months ago I was contacted by this awesome mum and dad to capture some family moments for them and tell part of their story. Funny thing was, without them even knowing, they both contacted me on the same night.

We met up at Stanwell Park beach in the Illawarra where there are these EPIC sandstone cliff faces which create such an amazing backdrop of colour and texture. It was requested that I focus on family images as they never get many together, and the parents together to help celebrate a milestone birthday, along with some other photos mixed in to help tell their story, but keep them candid and natural. I loved that they trusted me to do what I do and created a space for them to have moments of fun, connections and be themselves.

Even though it was a warm Autumn day, the rain threatened all day but it held off right till the end of our session and created the most beautiful defused light. We had so much fun playing, exploring and getting to know each other.

What the clients had to say:
As expected, they are fantastic, and you have captured us in a light that we can be proud of I had a tear in my eye. My wife cannot stop telling me how much she loves them. Thank you"

If you would like to have images that capture the essence of your family let’s chat.

I am always humbled and so honoured to be asked into a family’s home to document their story, even more so when I am welcomed back when their newest family member has arrived safe and sound. Bringing home a new baby is such an intimate and special time. Everyone is getting use to the new family dynamic and totally falling in love with a special little baby.

You have probably seen this awesome family on my social media and website before. I was blessed to do an in-home newborn session for the cheeky little man on mums lap their below. Can I just say this newborn session was AMAZING!!!!! This family is amazing! The connection, love, fun, compassion and pride they have for one another is just out of this world. They are just in-sync and it shows in the images.

We had such a fun time cuddling, singing, playing, exploring, dancing and being creative, it was soul filling. Their home feels like a home, not just a house and they asked me to capture them, their story and what their life if at this time.

This is what Sarah had to say about their gallery

“Jade,

I honestly don’t know how to thank you enough. These images are just beautiful, I couldn’t love them more. Thank you for capturing our family so beautifully. These photos are priceless to me and I will always treasure them.

Thank you, thank you, thank you”

This is why I loving photographing the way I do, it is about all those little moments that happen that we don’t appreciate until later on and they are vital in telling the story. It is so important to get images that tell your story, one day, they might be all you have and you won’t care what you looked like, how much weight you had put on or how your home looked. You will care about the people in them, the connection, the love, joy and feeling of absolute pride that rushes through your body.

If you would like images that do all this let’s chat about how we can make that happen with a family or newborn session. I travel for sessions, so just because you are not based in the Illawarra doesn’t mean you cannot have one of these sessions.

Lastly. Thank you lovely Z family for having me in your home again and just being the wonderful, caring, people that you are.

Meet the Homers. you may remember seeing them on my website and social media accounts when I did their maternity session back in 2018 (yes, it has taken me that long to blog).
Well, they had their beautiful baby boy in January and he is just perfection.

I always feel so blessed to be welcomed into family homes to document their lives, their chapters and story. This is one of those really special chapters, one that is even more special knowing everything these guys have gone through. These guys are one of the most chilled and relaxed families I know, they don’t take life for granted, they treasure every moment and don’t sweat the small things. Everything is a blessing and they truly are an inspiration.
This is another reason I love in-home newborn sessions, they let families be themselves, let their guard down and just relax. It lets me capture the true story and tell it through my eyes.

Thank you Homer Family for allowing me to capture this chapter for you.

If you would like to know more about in home newborn sessions, I would love to chat to you, you can contact me here.

Enjoy!

Baby "W" - Wollongong Newborn Photographer

Meet Baby Wesley who is 3 weeks old. Alison and Xavier welcomed me into their home to photograph their precious new bundle of joy Wesley and their new family.

When I arrived, Wesley was feeding and Alison just glowing with love and pride as she provided for her little boy. We sat and chatted about our lives getting to know each other while I captured some little moments of everyday life.

Wesley has the most GORGEOUS Just want to squeeze cheeks I have ever seen. He loved been cuddled but not really kissed and just wanted to snuggle up with mum and dad and sleep. We also couldn't forget about capturing their fur baby and getting an all new family photo. I also love it when families include/have things in their session that have sentimental value. Wesley's stunning wicker bassinet was his father's and also his grandmother's bassinet! How special to be sleeping in the same bassinet your father and grandmother slept in as babies.

Thank you Alison, Xavier and Wesley for welcoming me into your beautiful home and sharing this story with me.

If you would like me to tell a part of your story, please get in touch here, I would love to chat with you.
