Baby Stella - Wollongong and Camden Newborn Photographer

Earlier in the year I travelled to Camden, NSW to capture this beautiful family and the newborn baby girl Stella.

Walking in I was greeted by their little pug, who was just the most adorable little thing and was very interested and protective of his new baby sister as Dad feed his baby girl and just stared at her, still pinching himself that this was his little girl.

Stella’s mummy has done a beautiful nursery for her, which we were sure to get some pictures in and then we took to the bedroom for some snuggly shots, where they got to just be in their newborn bubble and breath all that newborn goodness in.

This is why I love lifestyle photography for newborn and family sessions. It’s relaxed, fun, full of connection and so not awkward. Thanks to this beautiful family for welcoming me into your little newborn bubble to capture this special time for you all.

A new chapter - Wollongong Newborn Photographer

I am still blown away and completely honoured that families welcoming me into their homes and share part of their lives with me. Welcoming a child into your family is such a amazing moment and one that should be captured and preserved, after all it is a chapter in your story. The lovely D family welcomed me into their gorgeous home for their newborn session here in Shellharbour. We chatted about life and our stories so far. It was like friends catching up for the first time in a long time. It was wonderful to hear about their travels around Australia and getting all the hints and tips for when we go caravanning. Here is a selection of my favourite images from the session.

The beach is our home - Wollongong Family Photographer

Sandy feet, sun kissed noses and an afternoon of play and cuddles. What more could you ask for on a stunning autumn evening in Wollongong.

For these cuties the beach is their second home, they are there nearly every day and it is apart of their soul (even maybe a bit of inner mermaid). When Rin, a local coal coast small business owner contacted me, she wanted to capture her family, in their favourite place, doing what they love in a natural, raw and honest way. We had so much fun, just relaxing and playing. I loved capturing those little moments of shell collecting, playing in the sand and jumping the waves. When we were saying our goodbyes at the end of the session, their eldest daughter asked if I could come back to their house for dinner as she was having so much fun, which totally filled my heart.

Here is what Rin had to say upon viewing their gallery. “The photos are all amazing too. Now comes the hard part of deciding which ones to print...We had a lovely time at the shoot too. Thanks for making it all easy for us.”

Laura, Chad and Baby Macie - Wollongong Newborn Photographer

When two become three….

Meet Macie, sweet baby girl to this amazing duo, Laura and Chad who you may remember from their maternity session, which you can see here. It was a dark and really overcast Autumn morning in Wollongong when I arrived at their home for their newborn session. I was greeted with big smiles and a home full of love and warmth. The joy of being parents and introducing me to their little girl was beaming from them. They say pregnant woman have a glow, well, I think new mums have an even more special glow.

Marcie was the sweetest little babe, she was so alert and interested in the world around her. It was so beautiful watching all the tender moments between them all. It truly is such an honour to be able to capture these moments for families. The moments that we often don’t see ourselves or remember.

Laura + Chad and one baby bump - Wollongong Photographer

Our life together has just begun. You’re apart of me, my little one.

Back at the start of the year, on a beautiful summers evening I met Laura and Chad at one of my favourite spots here in the Illawarra for their maternity session. Let’s just say it is one of my favourite maternity sessions. We walked, explored, laughed and danced and celebrated the pending arrival of their first precious baby. I am so humbled and honoured to be able to capture such a special moment in this chapter of their story.
