Sibling fun - Southern Highlands Family Photographer

They fight, they squabble, they laugh, they love, they are siblings. 
 

Justine contacted me to capture these two gorgeous kiddos playing and having fun together, as brother and sisters do (when they are not fighting). One day they will be older and arguing over who's turn it is to empty the dishwasher, cook dinner or take the car. We headed to their family property on the outskirts of Mittagong, NSW where they will one day soon build their dream home. I loved that they chose here for their family session, as it will always hold a special place in the family and it shows what their property looked like before the brick and mortar. I believe in creating a space for little ones to be their cheeky selves, where they can be silly, have fun and well, be kids. This is what documenting childhood is all about, capturing them, being them, being kids.

Baby "H" - Illawarra Newborn Photographer

3 years ago I photographed my second wedding, it was the wedding of Nat and Chirs. A fun loving couple that were (and still are) so comfortable with each other and knew what they wanted from life together. One of those dreams was a child of their own and finally, after much longing, a couple of weeks out from their 3rd wedding anniversary, Master Henry arrived. 

I am beyond happy for this little family and so blessed that they asked me to capture this next chapter in their lives, their newborn images. When I arrived at their home, pride was beaming out of them and you can see the pride, love and joy in these images. I simply love being able to document so many moments for families and am truly honoured as a newborn and family photographer that clients continue to trust me with these precious memories.

The "B" Family - Wollongong Family Photographer

What can I say, I am one incredibly lucky person to be able to have a job that I absolutely love and be a newborn and family and photographer that my clients continue to return to. These guys I now am proud to call my friends.

I have watched their first born Airlie grow and become a big sister, I have captured Ally's pregnancy with Betty, her newborn and 6 month photos and now her 1 year images, plus a couple of extended family sessions. To be honest, words cannot describe what this type of loyalty means to me and I am SO thankful for it and even more thankful that I get to make amazing friendships with my clients. 

The Bates family are so easy going and relaxed and we always have loads of laughs when we are together. We once again headed to "The Farm" at Killalea State Park, which is where they love to spend their time. We played, danced, sang, picked flowers and tickled our way through the late afternoon. When Airlie was a baby, we captured an image with them on the tailgate for the car they purchased on their honeymoon in Queensland and restored. At this session, we updated that image to include Betty.

The "D" Family - Wollongong Family Photographer

It was a lovely Autumn afternoon in Wollongong and the "D" Family and I headed to the beach to capture some family photos and a special announcment!

I love that they bought their fur baby to the session as they are just as much a part of the family as a human. I love how you can see him in the backgroud of alot of images, he was never far from the action.

The 'F' Family - Wollongong and Southern Highlands Family Photographer

No matter where your family are in the world, they will always be family and it is important to capture moments together. 

That is exactly what the 'F' family did when their parents visited Wollongong for Christmas all the way from the UK. 

When Anna contacted me about capturing some speical moments for them while her parents in law were here from the UK I was super excited, even more so when they wanted to include their puppy in the session. Choosing a location was easy and I learnt why at our session. Anna requested Fisherman's Beach at Port Kembla, a secluded little cove just below Hill 60. I grew up in Wollongong and never knew it existed! At the session they explained the importance of this beach, when they were first in Australia looking for their new home, her husband and father in law discovered this little gem of a spot and did some fishing here, that was 4 years go and the last time they were together in Australia. 

We had loads of fun playing, running around, climbing the sand bank and sharing memories. I loved that I was able to capture some beautiful loving moments of Mark and his parents together, the emotion and love that was showing was moving.

Baby M - Wollongong Newborn Photographer

Newborn sessions capture those life changing chapters in a family's story. If you think about it, our lives are story books, with each moment or adventure adding a chapter and those everyday mundane moments are the beautifully written paragraphs in those chapters. 

In home newborn sessions create a chapter through images, they capture the home where you first bought your child home to, the place where many first happen, the place where you bond and will watch them grow. It is the place you will never forget and will always be connected to because of what small moments happen there. Having your newborn images in your homes creates a tangible memory of these moments, one day that might be all that is left.
